Hi I'm Tammy

I grew up in Southern California. I'm a college graduate, happily married mother of four. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mom who is active in her kids activities in school, sports, and the community. I am also happily married to a wonderful man who is my equal in all that we do and treats me that way. When I am not busy taking care of them, I like to exercise, read, and cook and cook and cook some more.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. I learned for myself that the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ help us to find joy in this life. I have not had a perfect life and have experienced hardships like everyone else. What I love about the gospel of Jesus Christ is that it gives us a plan for happiness to follow. Living the gopsel requires work and sacrifice, but anything of true value requires work and sacrifice. We don't become better people or happier individuals by sitting in a chair just rocking. Get up and be a part of life. What a gift, to have a chance at life. With this knowledge, I have replaced fear in my life with faith. I have tried to maintain an inner calm and not give into the crazy no matter what comes my way. I believe inspiration requires some persperation because the enduring and meaningful things in life come at a small price, that of a willing heart and a contrite spirit. I am far from perfect, just ask my kids, but I am trying to be better. And that is why I continue to raise my children with these same values that I have come to love as part of the LDS faith. My marriage is stronger, my family is happier, and I am a better human being for following the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I love to volunteer in my children's classes, for their sports teams, and help our neighbors out. When you believe that your neighbors, friends, and even strangers are your brother and sisters, you want to help them like you would your own family. We try to be honest, reliable, fair, kind, and giving. We just try to pattern our behaviors in a way that the Savior would. We try to treat all those that we meet like he would. In our church, I am currently working with the youth teaching them about the scriptures. I love working with the youth.
