Hi I'm Marland

I am a father and a grandfather. I’m a handyman and grocery store worker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired truck driver who works at a grocery store to augment Social Security. I’ve also been doing landscaping which has included a lot of yard clean-up with the recent storms. While not socially inclined, I do enjoy breakfast with the “regulars” at various eating establishments and I travel regularly to visit my family on weekends.

Why I am a Mormon

Church attendance was important to my wife and so she had me ready to choose a church when the missionaries came knocking on our door. The message that the missionaries presented was the message was the one I felt the Lord wanted me to hear. Even though attendance wasn’t always easy due to my driving schedule, I stuck with the religion because of the message. I am a simple person and the simple message is Jesus is the Christ.

How I live my faith

I attend worship services every Sunday and assist in preparing the Sacramental portion of the service. I do my best to keep the commandments. As often as possible, I assist the missionaries in teaching the gospel. I help others whenever the opportunity presents itself.
