Hi I'm LeAnne

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of four children who keep me very busy! My husband and I love to be together and do fun things with our family. I love music and any chance I get I love to sit at the piano and sing and play. I also love sports, especially basketball! Growing up with four brothers, I often joke that I grew up on the baseball field and the basketball court! I graduated college way back when and although I received my bachelors degree and worked in the business world for a few years, I decided that I wanted to stay home and raise my children. Over the years when people have asked me, "Do you work?" I say, "Yes!" My work never ends as a busy stay at home mom! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon all my life. I was born into a family with a long history of Mormons. And so I have never known what it's like to not be a Mormon. I look at being raised as a Mormon as a blessing. I was baptized at eight, married in the temple in my early twenties, and have continued to keep the promises I made at those times which was, to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. To be honest, loving, forgiving, and to treat those around me with kindness. I am so grateful I had this church growing up. It helped me stay on the right track. It gave me guidelines and commandments to follow and a knowledge of a Heavenly Father and Savior who loved me and who would help me when I was sad, lonely, or when I needed help in making important decisions in my life. And now as I feel blessed to have the gospel in my life as I earnestly try and raise my children to be honest, loving, forgiving, and to treat people with kindness. It has so enriched and blessed my life and the life of my family. We have meaning to the things we say and do. We have a purpose in life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by trying to follow the example of Jesus Christ. I read from my scriptures daily, I pray to Heavenly Father on my own and with my family. I go to church every Sunday for 3 hours! To some that may sound like a lot. But I guess doing it all my life, I actually don't even think about it. In this church we all have assignments to help make our congregation run smoothly. Currently I am responsible for the welfare of 130 women! Wow, sometimes it is overwhelming. But with 130 women, as you can imagine, we have such a diversity of personalities and experiences, that being together is very inspirational, very uplifting, very sustaining, and very fun! I find such strength to deal with my issues and trials knowing that I have all those women to turn to for help. I am also assigned two women in our congregation who I specifically am responsible for. And so at least once a month I check up on them and visit them in their home to see how they are doing and to talk about spiritual things together. With four children we are active and busy Mormon family who, are not without trials and hardships, but who love life and love our Heavenly Father and are grateful for our Savior and His sacrifice for us. And so we try and live our life according to our faith in Jesus Christ.
