Hi I'm Breearna Mandla!

I'm an Australian 'Music, Dance, Theatre' major at Brigham Young University! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 23 from Brisbane, Australia and currently one of the 15 in the 'Music, Dance, Theatre (Broadway) Major' at Brigham Young University, USA! I love to study, restore old books, learn 'Polish', research family history and follow the newest trends of architecture. My life has been oh SO good because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! My parents learnt the gospel separately from missionaries in Australia before meeting and never got the chance to serve a proselyting mission…..so spending my last 1.5 yrs as a missionary in TORONTO, CANADA was nothing but a duty of gratitude.

Why I am a Mormon

It is by far the greatest gift anyone could ever be offered to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! I know who I am, exactly where I came from, why I am here and how I can live a life of in-explainable peace, happiness, love and excitement for the future to come. There is nothing greater or of more divine purpose than this church. With Jesus at the head, it is organised exactly as Christ had His church set up 2000 years ago through its structure, ordinances and implementation of apostles and prophets. We believe in modern-day revelation. Through the heavenly power of the prophet, we as a church are lead and guided in accordance to the will of God. This is something many faiths do not have. Nothing makes greater sense to me than the Book of Mormon. I know with all my being it is one if not the most correct book ever written and fits hand-in-hand with the Bible. Its truths changes lives. Through it, I have been able to know my Savior Jesus Christ and Eternal Father in heaven personally. Through prayer and constant scripture study I have learnt and experienced many things unexplainable to the natural man and cannot in any form deny the Book of Mormon’s pure truth. A testimony is something only you can gain. It is like wind or electricity, you can't see it yet know it exists and is as real as both you and I. Everyone has the opportunity to find out its truth for themselves as the book challenges one to read, pray and ponder its message with an open mind and sincere heart. There really is nothing greater than the Church of Jesus Christ. Finally one can live and be part of His gospel without the need to continue searching for 'His Church'. It IS found and currently living, operating and fulfilling the will of God. I challenge all to read its message as it offers more than one could ever possibly imagine. My entire life is accredit to it in the tiniest of detail.

How I live my faith

My devotion to the Gospel of Jesus Christ is at the very most center of identifying all aspects of who I am, my role in this life and how I view others. My beliefs are at the principal core of all individual decisions and social, political, economical and emotional judgments. It lies as the most important element in my life and the power source of my confidence in knowing I am a 'known', loved and a precious daughter of the creator of the Universe. It is not a weekend practice, but a daily, continuous, consistent factor that shapes and influences all individual achievement and efforts. It’s who I am, it’s how I live and I know it's true. I love living in a world of SO much chaos and confusing and feeling the deep PEACE that comes from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know WHY I am here, WHERE I came from and WHAT happens after this life and church is the opportunity I have, every week to re-new my relationship with my Father in heaven. I know we are lead today in the church by a living-day prophet... the same as a 'living-day 'Moses', 'Noah', or 'Abraham'. I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the SAME organization that He established when He walked this earth has been restored. I know that families can be together forever and this life is a fraction of what is to come. I know that our daily choices have eternal consequences. I know that anyone can develop a relationship with God and come to know the truth of His Eternal existence and I know that 2,000 years ago, there was a moment when I was the only person on the Savior's mind when He suffered for my sins in the garden of Gethsemane.
