Hi I'm Julie

I work for a community organisation. I love being a Grandma. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After my children grew up I went back to Uni to study psychology. I'm now enjoying working part time supporting others in the community. My husband and I enjoy travel and plan to do more of it in our retirement. I love to read and learn more about the world around me. I enjoy the freedom of being in the out of doors and getting back to nature.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother started taking my brother and I to Church when we were quite young. Even now I can recall the feelings I had then of being at home and at peace when worshiping the Saviour with fellow Mormons. I have been attending Church ever since that time and that feeling has never ceased. I served a mission for the Church in my early twenties and enjoyed sharing the gospel message with others. That time was also an opportunity for me to focus on my personal testimony of the Saviour and communicating with him through scripture reading and prayer. As parents, my husband and I have reared our children to follow the Saviour and keep his commndments. It is a great joy for us to see our grandchildren being raised in the same way.

How I live my faith

As part of my commitment to follow my Saviour I have accepted the responsibility of working in the youth programs in the church. They are such a joy to associate with and need support as they face the challenge of growing up in the world today. We have fun times at dances, camps and other social activities as well as instucting them on the importance of living in such a way that the spirit of the Lord is there to guide them. I also support some of the women at church with visits, meals and a listening ear and they in turn support me.
