Hi I'm Linda

I grew up traveling this beautiful world. I love the outdoors. I'm a wife, mother, and grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Germany, Guam, England and the United States. My family had opportunities to travel and enjoy many people and areas of this world. I loved it all. I attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a degree in zoology. I met my husband while we were students at BYU. We started married life in Texas where my husband attended Dental School. Upon graduation we moved to the coast of Oregon where we lived for four years. We left Oregon for Arizona where we have lived for 29 years so I guess I can say I am an Arizonan too. We have been blessed with four children and nine grandchildren. I love being a mother and a grandmother. I love playing with them and watching them learn and grow. I am ridiculously proud of them all. Our family has enjoyed playing together at all stages of life. We spent many a summer in tents, hiking, biking, swimming, etc. We love exploring new places. My husband and I have traveled to Asia, Central America, Europe, Canada and all over the United States. We love to scuba dive and discover the beauty of the oceans. I also enjoy learning, reading, sewing , cooking, and gardening. My husband is my best friend. I love being with him and sharing life. As the children have grown and moved on, we have continued to share and grow together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a 5th generation Mormon. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has aways been a blessing to me. It has been a source of strength and a guide for me. I have experienced many cultures and observed various religious people. I find within the gospel of Jesus Christ a better way. A deeper understanding of who I am and why I am here. In times of trial the Lord strengthens me and helps me see through the darkness. I love being surrounded by happy, optimistic people. It is the perfect setting to raise a family. Our family is close and happy together because we know we can be together forever. The gospel teaches us why there is opposition in life and how we can grow despite it and because of it. The reassurances of the promises of the Lord help me find joy in life, serve others, fill my heart with gratitude, and give me hope for the future. I know the Lord loves each of us and has always been active in our lives. I know He lives and loves me.

How I live my faith

Most of my work in the church has been with the youth. I love them. They are bright, happy souls that enrich me as we spend time together. We have enjoyed camping, hiking, boating, skiing, and other outdoor adventures over the years. I am inspired by their dedication to the Lord and living principles of righteousness. I am currently teaching the young adults of our area. Those that are 18 to 30. We meet weekly to discuss gospel principles, socialize, and enjoy each other. They are my extended family. I also visit the youth that are elementary school aged. I loved sharing stories of the gospel with them. Their spirits are so innocent and yet so strong. I have also been blessed to visit some special women in the church. Women that I have grown to love as I visit them each month, teach them and serve them. I am a worker in one of our temples. I feel the presence of the Lord there and enjoy the feelings of peace, joy, hope and strength.
