Hi I'm Bryan

I was blessed to grow up in the LDS church. I am an Electrical Engineer. My wife and I have three children.

About Me

I am the oldest of three and my wife is the oldest of eight. We enjoy visiting family and doing things with them as often as possible. My wife and I have three children now of our own. They keep us pretty busy. We enjoy outdoor activities such as taking walks and cooking out. I am an electrical engineer and my wife is an artist.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to have been born into the faith. My mom and dad taught my brothers and I stories from the Bible and The Book of Mormon from day one. When I was about 10 years old, I remember reading from The Book of Mormon one night. When I got done, I knelt down and said a prayer before going to bed. In that prayer, I asked our Heavenly Father if The Book of Mormon was true. The feeling that came over me as I was praying was a feeling of love, peace and comfort. I know that our Heavenly Father answered my prayer that night. The feelings of love, peace and comfort confirmed to me that The Book of Mormon was indeed true. This experience along with many others has given me the courage to stay true to the faith from then on. When I finished high school, I submitted paperwork to serve a mission for the church. I was assigned to labor in the Peru, Arequipa Mission. During my mission, I learned to love the people in Peru and their culture. I also had the opportunity to share with them The Book of Mormon and the many blessings the Church of Jesus Christ has has brought into my life. I enjoyed reading with them The Book of Mormon and coming out to church for the first time. I also enjoyed inviting them to pray in order to ask our Heavenly Father if The Book of Mormon and if the Church of Jesus Christ was true. It was neat to hear their experiences and to see their lives blessed because of The Book of Mormon and the church. These experiences have helped mold me into who I am today. I am so grateful for the church and the blessings it brings into my life. I am also grateful to know that our Heavenly Father does know and care about each and everyone of us. For this reason, he does hear and answer our prayers.

How I live my faith

Life is not always easy. Amongst the seasons of joy, It is also full of challenges, trials, sicknesses and even pain. My family and I have found hope by living the gospel. Hope for help through the times of affliction and hope for a better world to come after this life. By living the gospel and teachings of the church we have received many blessings. These blessings include health, a good education, a good job, a comfortable home, and three children. My wife and I will continue to live and follow the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ in hope for an even better future. We will do this in a number of ways. A few examples are as follows: 1. Attend our church meetings on Sunday. 2. Serve in the church. My wife helps coordinate the Sunday activites for the children, and I help to coordinate the Sunday meetings for the Brothers. This involves making phone calls, preparing and sharing lessons and giving rides. We also visit and provide meals to the sick or afflicted. 3. Teach our children to pray, to read the scriptures, and to obey the commandments. This is a challenge at times, but it is worth the effort as we watch their faith in Jesus Christ grow and they gain a love for the gospel. 4. Be good examples. Though we are far from perfect, we do our best to be disciples of Jesus Christ by doing as He would do and saying as He would say. 5. Study from the scriptures and do our best to apply their teachings in our lives. 6. Stay close to our Heavenly Father through prayer, and lean on Him for help during times of sorrow, sickness and pain. 7. Obey the commandments. These simple steps have been a recipe for peace and joy in our lives. I know that those that do strive to do likewise will also be blessed with peace and happiness as well. I would encourage all who read this to do likewise. I promise that the Lord will bless you and your families more than you can ever imagine.
