Hi I'm Allie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time teacher, a full time wife, and a full time volunteer for the 18 month-11 year old kids that I attend church with. I absolutely LOVE music, and have been singing and performing since I was eight years old. I still love singing at school, at church, in my car, and everywhere else! I love to cook delicious meals, and I have an amazing husband that likes (or pretends to like) to do the dishes which is ideal! I met my fabulous husband on a blind date a year ago. We met, fell in love, and were married shortly after. We have been married almost nine months, and we are enjoying life together as a young married couple. We love to eat together, go on date nights with my husband's brother and my sister-in-law (who set us up), exercise together and just relax from our busy lives together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an amazing family, with parents that always taught me to follow my heart, my instincts, and the promptings of the Holy Ghost. I chose to be baptized at the age of 8, (the age of accountability) and have been blessed to be raised up in the mormon church. My testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel has come piece by piece as I have learned principles of the gospel, and then applied them in my own life, and seen the positive effects. A simple principle like prayer, I gained a testimony of at an early age. I remember losing something that was really important to me. I was maybe 5 or 6, and knelt down and pleaded with my Heavenly Father to help me find it. I got up from my knees, and had a thought that I needed to look in my brother's room. Even though I thought I had looked there already, I was able to find the item that meant so much to me at that time. I know without a doubt that God hears and answers our prayers. Even when we're 5. I cannot count the number of times my prayers have been answered. Whether immediately with a thought, or with a confirming yes, or sometimes with a feeling that I just need to wait and be patient. Prayer being just one aspect of my testimony and my beliefs, but an example of how growing up with these simple truths has helped me to become the person I am today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day in the way that I live my life. I want to be a good person and strive to be the type of person that my Father in Heaven would want me to be. I want to help everyone, and often times find myself forgetting about my own needs and my husbands needs first. I am the president of the primary in our ward, which means that I organize and preside over all of the children from age 18 months-12 years old. I love working with children and it brings me so much joy and so many blessings to get to serve over 115 amazing children that live in my neighborhood and surrounding area. I prepare lessons, and activities, and strive to teach the kids to make good righteous choices in their lives. The Savior told us to become as a little child, and I love the opportunity I have to learn from so many kids, what Jesus Christ meant by that statement. Children are so loving, kind, forgiving, and precious in the sight of God. I know that my service is truly affecting my life, and helping me to learn how to become the kind of mother I want to be to my own children someday.
