Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a native Arizonan. I'm a mother of five (including two sets of twins). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of five children who has struggled with infertility, but has been blessed with two sets of twins and one vibrant girl in the middle. I have four girls and one boy. I was born and raised in Arizona, but have had the opportunity to travel to many places in the world. I have lived in Brazil and have Brazilian siblings! (I am the second of eight children). I've also lived a shirt time in Israel and love learning about other cultures and customs. I am married to an amazing man who is also a native-Arizonan, but grew up in South America for 10 years, Spain for two years, and shares a love for traveling as I do. I am a full-time stay at home Mom, and am very happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel and have been a member of the LDS church my entire life. Although I grew up being taught the principles of the gospel from two very active parents and relying much on their faith in the decisions that I made, I have since gained a personal testimony for myself through studying the scriptures (especially the Book of Mormon) and through personal revelation. I spent six months in Israel, and while I immersed myself in the Islamic culture and learned much about the Jewish and Muslim faiths, I believe it was there that I truly understood why I belong to the Mormon faith. I believe and know for a surety that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I have had many experiences where I have felt the power of the Holy Ghost bear witness to me of the divinity of our Savior and of His love for me as a daughter of God. I believe that families were created by God as the most important thing here on earth. They are central to His plan of happiness. I love that the church focuses so much on family values and teaching us how we can be eternal families.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by remembering each day what my purpose is here on this earth. I know that my time spent here is a test to prove myself worthy to live with God again for eternity. I try to just make good decisions each day and learn and grow as much as I can while keeping the commandments of God. As a mother, I try to teach my children correct principles in life that will help them grow to be strong, courageous, righteous influences for good in the world. I try to teach them to work hard. I believe that we pass our test here on earth by showing love to and serving those around us. I have enjoyed working with the young women ages 12-18 and feel that the youth today are some of the most amazing people ever. I currently serve with the women of the church. I love going to church and being uplifted each time by great women. Their stories and experiences in life help me to regain perspective and give me strength to overcome some of the trials or challenges I may be facing. I love music and enjoy singing in church. I love the peace that beautiful music brings into my life.
