Hi I'm Tom Bybee

I'm a Mormon. A father of 6, Grandfather of 6 so far. I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology.

About Me

I am a father of 6 children, three from my first marriage, identical twin boys and daughter. My sons have made me a grandfather of 6 two girls and four boysas of 2017. We have three adopted children, a boy and girl from Guatemala, and a girl from The Peoples Republic of China. I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I have an MBA in Management and a Bachelors degree in Information Technology. We moved to Mesa Arizona a few years ago from southern Utah where we lived for 11 years. I was raised in Salt Lake City Utah. I love to watch movies ride motorcycles to swim and fish and go camping with my family. We love to go camping to travel to new places together and we love to travel and visit family. We love to read the scriptures together as a family and I love to serve others. I love photography as a hobby and take pictures of many things, especially our kids. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints has given me many opportunities to serve others. I served a mission to the people of the state of Alabama, I was raised in the City of Salt Lake near the University of Utah where the 2002 Winter Olympic Stadium was only a couple of city blocks from my home. While in my youth when I was 17, I had the privilege of going home teaching with Nathan Eldon Tanner as my companion and gained a testimony first hand of the reality of Apostles and Prophets in our day. He was 1st councilor to the Prophet Spencer W. Kimball at the time. I know the Church is true by the power Holy Ghost

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in The Church but had to discover its truth for myself as a youth, through study and personal prayer. My prayers were answered and I know this to be the true gospel of Jesus Christ restored to the Earth with all the authority that it had when Jesus originally established his church upon the earth. I know that God our father loves his children, and is the same yesterday today and forever. He continues to communicate to us, his children, through a living prophet today. President Thomas S. Monson is his current prophet. Just as the book of Amos in the Old Testament says: (Amos 3:7), "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." and I know he continues today to reveal his will as in the past. I know that I am literally a Spirit Child of God, and that my family and I can live together forever by following God's Plan of Salvation. Through the sealing power of the Priesthood restored to the Prophet Joseph Smith in our day, we can be sealed to each other for time and all eternity in Gods Temples. I know this to be true that families can be together forever. With the death of my father in 2007 I got much peace in knowing I will see him again.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in my home Ward, (Congregation), as a teacher in Sunday School , I also worked in the Mesa Arizona Temple as an Ordinance Worker to give those who passed away without the opportunity to hear the Gospel or accept its teachings an opportunity to accept the ordinances of salvation like Baptism for The Dead (1 Cor. 15:29) and other saving ordinances of the Priesthood. The Temples are a great place to serve others. I have a testimony of work in the Temples where we can do work that binds families together forever. I believe that is important for people to be truly happy, and to have a balance between religion and how they live their lives. Religion gives meaning to my life on the Earth I believe that learning principles of truth can direct people’s lives for good and helps them be healthy psychologically too. I love being a father and husband and want to be the best example I can for my family. They are very special to me, and it would not be heaven for me, if the family I have can not be with me after this life. As a missionary sharing what I have found with others has brought me great joy, and I love to see how this Gospel changes peoples lives for the good. I love the friends and the associations that I have through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. I testify that This Church is true.
