Hi I'm Arianne

I'm a Mormon, a wife and a mother of two adorable boys that fill my life with love and keep me very busy.

About Me

I grew up in Florida and as a member of the church their our numbers were kinda sparse. Although it was hard at times I think that actually made me stronger in my beliefs and testimony. I graduated from college with and Interior Design degree but instead of going right into that field I chose to go to New Mexico and be a backpacking guide at Philmont Scout Ranch and that was a ton of fun. After three summers of backpacking I then moved to Colorado. I only knew one person when I moved here and my first year was really hard. But I knew the Lord wanted me here and then I met my husband. I now have two little boys and they keep me very busy. I still enjoy backpacking, camping, and being outdoors...I just don't get to do it as much as I would like these days.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a member of the church and I think a lot of people think that that is the reason I am still a part of this church but everyone, at some point in their life, has to decide what they want to do for themselves. The church has always been a large part of my life and from a young age I could see the blessings and stability it brought to my life. The knowledge of the gosple has given me true and eternal purpose. I know that we lived with our Heavenly Father before and we have come to this earth to receive a body, be tested, and make eternal covenants with our Heavenly Father, and we can return to live with him if we keep his commandments and seek to be like more like him. I know that our Savior Jesus Christ was sent to pay for our sins and make it possible for us to return to our Heavenly Father if we apply the atonement to our lives and strive to be closer to our Savior. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and was an instrument in restoring the true and everlasting Gospel to the Earth. I am so grateful that I live in a time when we have this knowledge available to us. I know that the Bible and The Book of Mormon are a testament of the truthfulness of the Gospel and through the study of these works I can grow closer to my Heavenly Father and have a clarity of where I came from, why I am here and where I will go after this life. They say that knowledge is power and the knowledge I have of the Gospel and it's principles gives me the power to live a full and happy life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each and every day by teaching my children the Gospel and living the Commandments of the Gospel. By doing so I strive to be an example to those around me. I also attend church each Sunday so that I can continue to learn and grow in the Gospel and be reminded of the things I have learned in the past. My attendance each Sunday refreshes me for each new week and helps me to remember my purpose here on earth and the path I want my life to follow. I also live my faith by serving others. I was recently asked to serve in the women's organization as the Visiting Teaching Coordinator. Visiting teaching is a program where each women in the church is asked to visit other women in the church so that every one is welcomed, loved, and has someone to turn to in time of need. I am learning more now than ever, that this is a very important part of the church and I enjoy being a part of it. I hope that by living the commandments and serving those around me I am living my faith the way that I should.
