Hi I'm Geoff

I'm a father. I'm a husband. I'm a student. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a full time student. My interest in science led me to the challenging degree of chemical engineering, which I really enjoy. I'm a husband and father. The best part of any day for me is coming home to my family and hearing my daughter say "Daddy!" as she gives me a hug. Over the years, I have competed in natural bodybuilding competitions including winning the Mr. Natural Utah title. While I no longer participate in competitive bodybuilding, I still enjoy exercising and staying active. Above all, I love life and my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the Mormon faith, my family was not always active in the church. As a youth, I remember going to church meetings on my own just to see my friends. It was during those times and in several seminary classes that I attended while in high school that I gained greater clarity about my purpose in life. There came a time when I had to know for myself whether or not what I had learned my whole life was true. After reading of the Book of Mormon and praying, the Spirit of God confirmed to me that what I had learned was indeed true. Because the Savior had brought such joy into my life, I wanted to share his message with the world. I served as a full time missionary for the church in Venezuela, an experience that continues to serve as one of the greatest blessings in my life. I have a knowledge that Jesus Christ loves each one of us personally and that He restored His church upon the Earth today.

How I live my faith

I regularly attend church meetings and enjoy going with my family. I currently serve as a secretary for the leaders of the ward which I belong to. I learn a lot from them and their Christlike examples. One of my favorite callings is that of being a home teacher. It makes me feel good when the children of a family I teach ask if I will be visiting them again soon. A great blessing in my life has been the opportunity to serve those in need- I have learned that through service, both the giver and the receiver can benefit from feelings of peace, love and unity.
