Hi I'm Ray

I grew up in New Mexico. I love finance. I'm a Mormon, but not as exciting as the ones on TV.

About Me

I am a Mormon, but not as interesting as the ones on TV. I am interested in social media and technology. I am learning to play the guitar. I studies accounting in school, but I find myself working in the financial industry. I am fascinated with motorcycles and love to ride when I can. I'm continuing my education everyday by studying different topics (finance and mythology). I love listening to music, I find their is nothing more relaxing then to lye back and listening to an album that you've heard a thousand times and let the melodies flow through you. Like talking to an old friend the music takes you away and brings you to great places. It's great to discover new music and sharing it with my wife and friends. I'm thankful for my great life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. From a very young age my parents taught be about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. They taught us the gospel from the Bible and the Book of Mormon, but mostly from how the lived their lives. When trouble came up they would turn to the Lord and they would act on the inspiration they received. I have many memories of sneaking into the kitchen late at night and hearing my mother praying for her children in the next room. It's hard not to believe when you see such powerful examples of faith in your life. From an early age I believed. I had a testimony of a loving Heavenly Father, in our savior Jesus Christ and that his church had been restored in this day and age. I believed but I had to know. So I did what I had been taught to do since I was a young child, ponder and then ask if it was true in prayer. So I prayed, I prayed about all of it. If the Book of Mormon was really translated by Joseph Smith. It we had prophets on the Earth today. If Jesus was my savior and their really was an atonement for my sins. I got my answer. I know it is true. Even as I type this out I feel the Holy Ghost bearing testimony to me that it is true. We have a Heavenly Father who loves us, Jesus is the Savor of mankind and we have Prophets on the Earth today to lead us and guide us. It is amazing to know and I am grateful to my Father in Heaven for answering the prayer of a young man. Also, for answering me again when my faith would wavier. It's true and I am glad to know it.

How I live my faith

I have live my faith by trying to draw close to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through prayer and scripture study. By sharing the things I have learned with others and by helping my fellow man. I have helped out in community gardens and assisted those in need (even if it's just reaching an item on the top shelf for someone, I am quite tall). I have served in the church, by visiting those in need, sharing the love of our savor. I have served by organizing our young men and teaching them. I have served in the church by planning fantastic activities that bring people together and makes them happy. I am glad to serve in any way I can.
