Hi I'm Jim

34 year Real Estate broker. Father of two sons. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Orginally from California I have lived most of my life in Iowa. I enjoy outdoor activities especially camping and backpacking with my sons. I have worked as a Real Estate Broker for over thirty years. I work along side my wife so I have the advantage of family time at work and at home.

Why I am a Mormon

I lost both my parents as a child. As a result I was raised by a Step Father. I spent time at many different churches and heard many different interpretations of the Scriptures. During that time I formulated my own opinions as what had to be true. As a young adult a friend and I had a chance to listen to two equally young missionaries. What they taught was precisely in line with what I already believed must be true. The decision to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was an easy decision for me. Now thirty plus years later, I know I have made the right decision. Living my life striving to be obedient to God's commandments has richly blessed my life.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints does not have a paid ministry. I have a desire to do my part to support the work that needs to be done. Over the years I have served as a youth leader, Sunday School teacher and many other responsibilities within the Church. Currently I am serving as the Bishop in my Ward. This places me is a special position to help and serve the Spiritual needs of many people. Working with the other members of my Ward that hold leadership positions has demonstrated to me how amazing these people can be. They are willing to step up and complete very difficult tasks because they know that is what the Lord expects.
