Hi I'm Geneva

I'm a Mormon. I am a convert. I am happy I have found the truth. I have a huge complicated family.

About Me

I love to dance, do random crafts, hike, camp, play backyard volleyball and badmitton with family and friends. I love kids!! I can hardly wait till I have my own. I have names picked out of course! I love to host dinners and events. I am someone who loves to make up recipies from scratch. But chicken curry with rice, and german goulash are my favorite. I also will always be the one to make green bean casserole for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can hardly bake; when I try it always seems to burn. I am engaged to the most wonderful man I have ever met. He is a man full of goals and dreams. He loves to plan ahead, far ahead. He loves to hunt, play baseball and has to be outside for at least an hour or two everyday in the freezing temperatures or in the dry heat. I have been welcomed and loved by his family as if I were their own daughter and sister. I was a foster child most of my life and I finally found people that believe in me and love me unconditionally. They gave me hope. Answered questions I had about the church and taught me how to pray. I recieved answers. They helped me and continue to achieve my goals. I have never been more healthier or happier in my entire life. I work full time serving people from around the world and love every minute of it. I always want to try and set a positive example for everyone. I took flying lessons when I was in highschool, and I know one day I will get a private flying license. I know you can achieve your goals too. I believe in you!

Why I am a Mormon

I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. It is His Church. Not Moses or Jahovas or my church. Its Jesus and our Heavenly Father. The true church. How do I know? I asked Him. Our Heavenly Father. I recieved peace when I knew. I became happier than ever before. I know that my Heavenly Father sent Joseph Smith to us to be our living prophet. I know that we all have free agency and it is our own consequences if we break our commandements with the lord. I have a testimony that grows everyday. It grows stronger when I pray and bare it. I started having questions when I found out that the beautiful building on top of the hill in Oakland, CA was a Temple. Or Heavenly Father's Holy House. I looked at this building almost every night when I cried myself to sleep from depression. It helped me get sleep. It was always lite up at night, looked so peaceful. When my fiance who then was my boyfriend told me it was a Temple, I didn't know what that was. I asked if we could go see if after I got off work that day. He was delighted to take me. He didn't explain anything to me about it, although he didn't have to. When we pulled into hte ground. I felt something I never felt before. Something so incredible and cool burning feeling in my chest; a magnet to. I immediately knew something was right. That's when I had curious questions. I didn't many until I could hardly wait to get baptized. Till I could renew my covenets with Him and serve until I could see Him again! I know that not putting bad things into my body, such as alcohol or cigarettes, only makes me stronger, happier and healthier. I believe in myself, have confidence in myself, know that I will have a family to love and protect, and if I put my trust in the true and living God, I will be saved.

How I live my faith

I try to be a positive advocate for young woman. I am a teacher and friend. I love to have fun and share stories with everyone I meet. I never know what I may learn from a single lesson I teach for my youth or what I might learn from them. I have been called by my Heavenly Father to be the Sunday School Teacher for the 12 and 13 year olds in my ward. That is my community. I was a mentor for Girls Camp for the Church. It is great to see so many young woman all come together and share testimonies with one another, meet new ladies their age, older or younger and from different cultures and nationalities. To come together and not be judged but to be welcomed with so much love. To watch this and be apart of it, is simply amazing.
