Hi I'm Larry

I'm a fifth generation Mormon. I was born in Idaho, grew up in California and now live in Texas.

About Me

I am a retired research scientist and University Lecturer. I am interested in Family History, Book of Mormon geography and science. I spent 30 years at the University of Texas at Austin doing research in Drug Metabolism and Toxicity. Since retirement, I have spent time in the study of the Book of Mormon in order to better understand the culture that produced this amazing record and the testimony of Jesus Christ contained within its pages.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first because my ancestors were Mormon and passed their testimonies down to me from generation to generation. However, of most importance, I am a Mormon because I gained my own testimony by study, living the commandments, exercising faith and serving in the Church.

How I live my faith

I have served in many callings over time working with and teaching the youth as both a bishop and president of the young men's organization. More recently I have served as a set apart Temple worker in the San Antonio Temple and teaching members how to do Family History. Since marrying my sweetheart from Mexico over 50 years ago, I have worked with Spanish speaking members of the Church and am presently a member of a Spanish speaking unit of the Church.
