Hi I'm Mike

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Utah went to work in Arizona and I retired there. I enjoy serving others.

About Me

I am a husband, father, grandfather & my wife's best friend. I do enjoy an occasional fishing trip, I am a fly fishermen, & i taught my son to make flies so we always have a variety of things to fish with. When i retired and moved to our new home i have found much satisfaction in doing landscaping, which includes planting a rose garden for my wife, which i promised when we were first married. I enjoy visiting with our family by any means.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young child i was taught that our Father in Heaven and his Son (our Savior) Jesus Christ, listened to my prayers and knew who i was. So when i read in the Book of Mormon about asking if the book was true i put it to the test and received an answer. Over the years i have received many answers, which ussualy comes through someone else who is listening and acting on the promptings that they receive. I have never had any doubts about gospel, and i believe that Jesus Christ my redeemer knows me and stands ready to help me in all aspects of my life.

How I live my faith

i have been called to preside over the Concho Branch, which was a big surprise to me. I am trying to help the members any way i can. Going to meeting, working with the youth, helping the older generation, is very fullfilling. I enjoy partisipating in all youth activities, young womens, scouting and all other planned and impromtu activities. We meet in a small building with a small congegation but the spirit of togetherness and carring is very strong in our little branch. We all enjoy getting together for potluck dinners and socializing when we can, with busy schedules and all the other distractions we encounter on a daily basis.
