Hi I'm Amber

I'm from Georgia. I love broadway music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a senior in college studying Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. Writing is a favorite hobby of mine. I also love just about anything to do with music- especially broadway. I love to sing. Some of my fondest memories are the times my sisters and I would gather around the piano as my mother would accompany us. Family road trips, camping, and service projects pretty much describe my upbringing. I come from a large family with dozens of uncles and aunts and countless cousins. Every Sunday we gather to eat tacos, sing songs, and visit with one another. Currently, I am preparing to serve as a missionary. I’m excited to serve and share with others my faith and testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized at the age of 8. Even then, I knew I had a Father in Heaven and that He loved me. I am His child. We are all His children. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came to earth to provide a way to for us to return to our Heavenly Father again. While He was on the earth, Jesus Christ set up and established His church. It has since been restored in these days through the prophet, Joseph Smith. Anyone can know of it's truthfulness if they simply ask God. I did. I am grateful that I can pray to my Heavenly Father. He hears and answers our prayers. Because God loves us, He sent His son Jesus Christ to make it possible for us to one day return to Him. Because I know these things to be true, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I currently have the opportunity of working with the youth of the church, specifically young women. I assist in planning activities and events for them to participate in and help with lessons at church. It is so uplifting for me to be with them as I see their goodness and examples. Another way I strive to live my faith is through visiting with other sisters in my area. I enjoy getting to know them. As I try to recognize their needs and help in the best way I know how, I find myself strengthened. It’s an amazing feeling as we take time to serve and help others- it just feels so good.
