Hi I'm Paul

I'm a husband, father, grandfather, dermatologist, hobby farmer, hunter, fisherman, backpacker, humanitarian, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently celebrated my 37th wedding anniversary. I have 5 children and 13 grandchildren. I joined the Air Force after I graduated from High School and was an air traffic controller. After my military service, I started taking college courses and pursuing a pre-medical course of study while working for a laundramat repairing machines, sales work, painting, and manufacturing medical disposable equipment and commercial dishwashers. I joined the National Guard and served as a medical corpsman. I completed my undrgraduate degree while working full-time and raising my family. I served as an En-route Air Traffic Controller for the FAA before starting medical school. I have been a practicing dermatologist for over 20 years and am the Dermatologist for the Arizona Diamondbacks. I love to hobby farm and raise cattle and grow all types of fruits and vegetables. My wife and I frequently do humanitarian work in Mozambique, Africa through a group called Care for Life. We love serving our brothers and sisters in Africa.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family where my parents were both active members of the Mormon faith. They set a great example to me and were always faithful in trying to live thier lives the best way they knew how. I began to date a catholic girl in high school and as we began to get serious in our relationship we discussed what religion meant to our lives. My girlfriend met with the missionaries and I attended my girlfriends church on several occasions. I went into the military and when I returned from my training we were married. Local member missionaries began coming to our apartment and my wife joined the Mormon faith. A year later my wife and I were sealed together for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Mormon Temple. I'm a Mormon because I have studied and lived the principles it teaches for decades. I have felt the witness of the Holy Ghost in my life on a regular basis and have been blessed tremendously for obeying it's teachings.

How I live my faith

I have been active in my faith all my married life. This activity has blessed my life and has given me many opportunities to serve. I have taught Sunday School on several occasions. I have loved the opportunity to study the Scriptures and gain insights and knowledge I would not have obtained on my own. I have also served many years in the youth programs in the church and have worked with teenage boys in various phases of the Boy Scouting programs. I love Jesus Christ and the life of service and example he set. I have never felt better in my life than when I am doing something for some one else that they cannot do for themselves. I have been blessed to be able to provide service to the people of Mozambique. I have made several trips to first provide medical care and most recently to teach the people knowledge and skills that will improve their health through actions of their own.
