Hi I'm Marcelle

I'm a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and I love to teach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in small town America. I had a great childhood with my twin sister by my side. I love playing basketball and volleyball. I attended college and earned a degree in special education. I have never used my degree to officially teach because I began my family. While in college I met and married my great husband. I am a mother of seven children and I have been married for 24 years. I am a substitute teacher for our school district, which I love. I love to teach and to spend time with my family. I like to hunt, fish, hike, camp and watch my children participate in their sporting events and musical/theater programs.

Why I am a Mormon

Luckily for me, I was born into a family who lives and loves the gospel of Jesus Christ. I can truly say, "I was born of goodly parents". I have always believed the Church to be true but that testimony was put to the test seventeen years ago. Our seventeen month old daughter died in an accident and at that point I was forced to ask myself, "Is this plan of salvation real? Did my Savior die for me and for her? Will I see her again?" As our family went through the next days and weeks life was a "fog" for me. I couldn't process things. I have always prided myself on being organized and being able to conquer anything. This was different. It was bigger. I had to turn to my Heavenly Father and Savior in prayer. The sweet, peaceful relief that came when I turned my burden over to them is hard to describe. I knew that all of the principles that I had been taught as a young girl were still true. I knew that my family could be together forever. That experience has been one of the biggest blessings in my family's life. I know that we have a special angel watching over us and helping us to choose the right and move down the path of righteousness. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know it is true. I know that the prophet Joseph Smith restored Christ's church to the earth in these the latter days. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that we can grow closer to our Savior by reading from its pages. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and He loves me. This knowledge allows me to raise my family in hope and truth.

How I live my faith

I love to give service!!! It is such a blessing in my life. I love being able to serve the ladies in our area. I get to welcome new families into our community. I love visiting them and getting to know them better. I love getting their sons involved in Scouting. I also get to help at the local food bank each week. It is a great blessing to serve those that need extra help in this tough economy. I live in a great community that gives much service. I enjoy cooking meals to help those who are sick or who have lost loved ones. I mostly love teaching my children the joy of service. I appreciate their willingness to serve and to give of their time and talents. "Walking the walk" and trying to be like our Savior is just a part of our life.
