Hi I'm Cheri Toolson

I'm a Mormon. I am a convert. I joined this church as a teenager, attended BYU, I am happily married with 4 grown children.

About Me

I went to BYU, married, was a stay home mom of 4 children. The kids have all grown up. The baby is on a mission. As an empty nester, I have plenty of time to play tennis, read, sew, paint, cook and travel. I have wonderful grandchildren. I love to watch basketball and volleyball. I work at a home decor store. I love meeting new people and seeing new places. Jordan, Israel, and Turkey are some of my favorite countries to visit.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the LDS church as a teenager. My mom had a hair salon in our home. One of her clients would bring in "homemade stone ground wheat bread". Questions were asked on the whose, what's, where's and why's of the wonderful bread.. then came the discussions about food storage and a years supply. My mom being a practical woman thought it made sense so the missionaries came over. Everything still made sense so we joined the Church several months later, and were sealed as a family a year later. As a convert, I have seen both sides of the fence. Chemical dependancy/ addictive personality could have been a problem. It swims in my gene pool. I choose daily to make choices that make my life less complicated and messy, as I have seen happen to others. I married a man with a strong sense of himself, the gospel and family. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is simple in it's "rightness". I know it is true because yy head and heart tell me this is so. I love the people, I love the instruction, I live the lifestyle.

How I live my faith

I am a retired stay home mom. I have taught the teens in church for many many years. I love their energy! I love the Young Women's program and how it strives to teach girls to understand and strengthen and prepare themselves for adulthood. In between teaching the youth, I have taught many classes for women in crafts, home and food preparedness, sewing, baking, and gardening. I have planned events and parties for all age groups with themes too many to remember. I enjoy life to it's fullest, hopefully in a way that would not offend.
