Hi I'm Catherine.

I'm a photographer, a horseback rider, an oreo addict...but most importantly - I'm a full time wife and mother of 4. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I feel I am a happy person. I am a wife to my high school sweetheart - almost 20 years of marriage now! I have a fabulous marriage because my husband and I work to keep it a priority. We have four amazing children. From early on, my parents had taught me the importance of a good education. They sacrificed much to put seven children through college. I earned a BA and a MA in college. I taught school for four years. I loved teaching, but I chose to stay home full-time once my husband graduated. I now strive to teach my children the importance of an education, because I know that knowledge makes you better, as well as that knowledge goes with you into the next life. I love being a mom. It can be tough, but it's my most important job. I make a lot of mistakes, but I do the best I can. I like to volunteer at my children's schools. I am also a photographer. I love to ride horses with my daughter. I also enjoy riding quads with the family. I love to camp, water ski, snow ski, ride bikes... pretty much anything outdoors with my family. They are the most important thing in my life. I feel that I am a happy person because I try to recognize all my blessings that my Heavenly Father has given me. My family. My freedom. My friends and neighbors. My health. My happiness. All that I have comes from Him. I am happy because I know that my Heavenly Father loves me, as He loves everyone. I am happy because I understand the Plan of Salvation. I know that I can be with my family forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a strong LDS family, so I grew up learning the teachings of Jesus Christ. I always believed and felt good about what I was taught. As a youth, I was taught to find my own testimony though. And, so I did. In ninth grade, I read the entire Book of Mormon. My prayers were answered when I asked my Father in Heaven if it was true scripture. I know that it is. I know that it is another testament of Jesus Christ. It contains the fulness of His teachings.... The Book of Mormon truly testifies of Jesus Christ. I know that my Heavenly Father has a plan. I know that He wants me to return to Him. And, I know that I CAN return to Him through the atonement of Jesus Christ and by living the gospel here in this life. I am a Mormon, so that I can be with my family and my Father in Heaven after this life. I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith the best way I can. I know that I make a lot of mistakes, but I keep trying. I try to be charitable. I try not to gossip. I try to love everyone and to think nice thoughts about them. I try to be positive and uplifting around others. I try to be kind to my neighbors. I really want to be a good neighbor and friend to those around me. I try to get involved in service projects for others. I try to be honest in all my doings. I get involved in the community by volunteering at the schools or in my children's activities. I serve in my church as well. It's a big part of my life. I work with the young women, ages 12-18, in my church. I love it! The youth are so valiant and strong, as they strive to live the high standards God has given them. I try to teach my own children, as well as the young women, about their Savior and what He did for them. I try to teach them about how much their Heavenly Father loves them. I guess I just try to be a good person. I live my faith by just trying to do a little better every day...
