Hi I'm Judy.

I'm a happy, proud grandmother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a child I told people, "When I grow up, I want to be a Mother." I have accomplished that! ...and somewhere along the path, I discovered that being a Grandmother is absolutely wonderful too! My six grandchildren keep me filled with such unconditional love and acceptance that I'm in awe of the Lord's plan for families on a daily basis. It is amazing how my grandchildren’s hope and faith and trust and love can transform and transcend. Sometimes I even hear my advice and counsel to them coming back to me from their own loving words, hearts, and minds. It's wonderful to know that love is such a powerful force in this world. It warms my heart to feel such deep love. It makes me appreciate God's love for me and I realize that his love for me is my example. I know that Christ came into this world to give us a higher law than the Law of Moses. No longer do we live “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.” Christ came to bring Love into the world. He has accomplished that!

Why I am a Mormon

Fasting and personal prayer are two principles that have led me to this place in my life where I continue to believe that the principles and ordinances of the Gospel of Jesus Christ bring me peace and happiness. The spiritual experiences provided by the Lord to me have held me strong when things have been rough for me. After an auto accident, it took me two years to learn to walk again. When I saw that I was actually going to have the impact or "accident," the first words out of my mouth were, "I can't believe this is happening to me." My next words were, "Heavenly Father, don't leave me now. I'll never make it through this without You. Stay with me now, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen." I truly believe that we get what we think and pray about. I know God answers my prayers. His Love gives me life - in many ways!

How I live my faith

I sang my first solo at age three in Sacrament Meeting at Church. For most of my life, I’ve been singing, acting, dancing, directing choirs, leading music, teaching music, and putting performing groups together. It’s amazing how a person’s Soul pours out of them in their deliverance of their music. Just really listen to a singer or musician some time…and check how you feel - in your heart and in your head - both should agree. It’s easy for me to tell good music from bad music. It’s easy for me to understand and admit how differently I feel when I listen to or sing different songs. It’s what each one of us does AFTER we know the difference that matters. Wickedness never was happiness. Let Love in. Let peace and love be your guiding forces. It matters. WE matter!

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a personal expression of a personal confirmation from the Holy Ghost on something that is personally meaningful, i.e. "I know that my Heavenly Father knows and loves me." That expression of mine was witnesses to me by the Holy Ghost confirming the truthfulness of that information to me - personally. I know when the Holy Ghost confirms Truth to me by the way I feel inside. Sometimes it is the warmth or burning in my heart. Sometimes it is the peace that comes to my mind. Sometimes it is the clarity with which I understand a thing. Sometimes it is an idea that comes to me that I had not even anticipated. It can be words, feelings, thoughts, perceptions, ideas - all from a source that I have come to identify as the Holy Ghost. That is one of the purposes of the Holy Ghost - to witness truth. There are five specific things that the Holy Ghost can witness to you in order for you to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true: 1. Heavenly Father lives and loves us. 2. Jesus Christ lives - and is the Son of God - and died for our sins. 3. Joseph Smith is a prophet - the prophet God called to restore His church to earth after the apostasy. 4. We are led today by a living prophet. 5. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Savior's Church restored on the earth today. Show more Show less
