Hi I'm Eric

I am a doctor. I love my family. I love sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports! This has been a drive for me all of my life...from playing sports as a youth and now as an adult...to my career choice as a Sports Medicine doctor. I gain great satisfaction in being able to help others return to the physical activities that make them happy and healthy. The human body and its abilities are astounding, and I am often amazed by our Heavenly Father's creation as I learn more and more each day of the intricate details of its function. My love of sports takes second place behind very few other things, one of which is my family. I have been blessed with a loving wife and five incredible children. I relish the opportunity to spend time with them, and in the frequent little joys that come from a family life. The small accomplishments I have made in my adult life would have been impossible without the great love and support that my wife gives, and I am often humbled by the loving words and acts that my children perform. Truly, kids say/do the "darndest things." Not only does a family provide many enjoyable experiences (and frustrations), but it frequently puts life into perspective, and allows for the realization of what is truly important in life.

Why I am a Mormon

There are numberless reasons why I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but because of my great love for my family, this is often at the forefront of my church membership as well. Our Heavenly Father has an eternal plan for his children, and has blessed us with family units to experience love and support in this earthly life. The incredible blessings that are available to our family through the gospel of Jesus Christ are priceless. To know and understand that our family can be together forever, eternally, is incomparable. This knowledge guides me and our family in nearly every important choice we make. It gives us hope in times of despair, and comfort in times of suffering. These blessings are only possible through Christ, and can only be found through his true Church. While many churches offer help to those in need, support to its members and community, and guidance in this world; the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints offers an eternal perspective on life, and provides the opportunity to receive and enjoy these incredible blessings. I am truly grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I hope I can share these blessings with others.

How I live my faith

When you grow to understand the breadth of the gospel, you find that your faith pervades in all aspects of life. Its influences can be found in every facet of your life, and in nearly every choice you make. Specifically though, we strive to make our home a sanctuary from the world, where our family and all those that enter our home can feel a spirit of comfort, safety, and love. I want our home to be a place that people enjoy being in. The most important factor in being successful with this goal, is how I live my life within the walls of our home, and keeping to the guidelines that our Heavenly Father has set for me. In general, I want, and try, to lead an exemplary life of what God expects me to be as one of His Latter-Day Saints: at home, at work, and at play. I'm not nearly perfect, in fact, I'm very far from it, but I attempt to be better each day.
