Hi I'm Greg

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, a father of 4 children, an avid scouter, and a computer nerd. I am currently serving as a Bishop for my ward which keeps me very busy, but I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents had an influence on me as I was growing up but I had to find out for myself if it was really true. When I was in Jr. High i started reading the Book of Mormon each day and came to know through the power of the Holy Ghost that it was true. This has affected my whole life since that time. Everything good that has come to me since then has been because of this testimony that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lord's church on earth today. Because of this testimony I served a 2 year mission for the church and grew very much from the experience, spiritually and in other ways that continue to bless my life. While going to college I met my wonderful sweetheart at the student ward on my campus and we were married in the Temple. I have had opportunities to serve in the church through my life and it has helped me to grow as I have learned to help others.

How I live my faith

I am a Bishop in my ward. This has been the most challenging and yet rewarding experience of my life. I get the opportunity to work with the youth in my ward by being friends with them and help them to live a good life in the challenging world they live in today. I also help members in my ward to deal with the different challenges in life. Financial problems, dealing with unemployment, loss of loved ones, and spiritual problems as well. I feel help from Heavenly Father regularly as without him I could not even begin to be able to help others in this way. I also have been a Scoutmaster and helped young men to learn and live the Scout Oath and Law in their everyday lives.
