Hi I'm Gary

I'm a world traveler, an outdoorsman, a husband, a father of three active boys, I live in Gilbert, Arizona and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a business professional that has the opportunity to travel the world for work. I love learning about new cultures and visiting new places. But I will say this, there is nothing like a good nights sleep in your own bed. I am a father of three active boys. They keep me busy with sports, coaching and scouts. They are a lot of fun and great kids. Our favorite activity around the house...wrestling. Sometimes I feel bad for my wife because there is a whole lot of testosterone in our house. I love the outdoors. My favorite is being under the stars, away from the city lights to relax and ponder the issues we face in life. Hunting, fishing and camping are the best, especially fishing. Give me a rod and reel, a good stream, river or lake, and I am thoroughly entertained. I love to fish!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know by following His teachings and example, I am happier. Life just seems to go a little better when I am close to Him. I want to be a good example to my boys. I want to be the type of father that they deserve and the church helps me to do just that. I will be the first to admit that in life it is very easy to loose focus on what matters most. In today's world you can be pulled in so many directions. The want for professional accolades and material possessions is all around us, but the Gospel of Christ keep me grounded, focused on the most important things, my Creator and my family. I have seen God's hand at work in my life too many times to doubt His existence. I know He is always there for us, maybe not in the way we want, but like a loving parent, I know he wants the best for me and all of His children.

How I live my faith

When I was a child, my father always taught us to "practice what you preach" and "don't be a hypocrite". As a follower of Christ, I try my best to live a life He would be proud of. Do I often fall short, you bet. But that is the beauty of it, you just try a little harder and do a little better. My family is very involved in our congregation. Over the years we have developed many strong, personally relationships within our congregation. We see us all like one big family. You can never have too much "family" looking out for you! We all need a hand to pick us up at times in this journey of life, and likewise extend our hand to someone that may be in need. I am a firm believer in the fact that we should not judge others. We all have our individual imperfections and struggles. But because of Christ's sacrifice for each of us, we can be made whole again and move forward if life. The guilt and burdens of the past that have weighed us down, can be left behind and the past can be just that...the past. Christ gives us the opportunity to write a new chapter, a happier chapter in our own story book of life.
