Hi I'm melissa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of five beautiful children, which I home schooled. I have been happily married for 25 years. My father was in the Army and we lived in many different parts of the country and spent some years in Germany. My husband's schooling took us to New York, Nebraska, and Florida adding a few new places to my list. I am a cake decorator and recently made a cake for a private event for Julie Andrews.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Latter Day Saint (Mormon) because of the peace and spirtiual support the gospel brings to my life even in stressful times. The love I feel for my Savior a the feeling of love I recieve from my Savior at times fills my soul to the brim. The hope it gives me for mankind and the love for my fellow man which the gospel nutures in my heart sustains me.

How I live my faith

Every week I attend Sunday meetings where for one of the hours I teach the 13 year olds of Christ's teachings from the Old/New Testimant and Book of Mormon scriptures. I like that throughout the world that is what the focus is in every memeber meeting every week, to learn of Christ and how He would have us live. I try to visit monthly three other sisters of our congragation to which I am assigned to provide support. At home we try to read and study from the scriptures nightly with family and personal payers daily. I try to have my daily actions and decisions be guided by the teachings of Christ.
