Hi I'm Kent

I'm Scottish, I'm a Student, I'm teaching family home evening tonight and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland- one of the worlds most beautiful cities... shame about the rain. I have 10 siblings, 5 girls and 6 boys in my family safe to say its never dull in my home. I'm a mechanical engineering student at Edinburgh University. I play the Drums but im inbetween bands. on an indefinite hiatus. I love football, worlds favourite game. Pro evo fifa I loved being a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church but when I was about 14 years old I didn't want to go any more, mainly because all my friends played football on Sunday and anything sounded better to me than going to church on a Sunday. So I knew that my entire life I had been taught that if I was to pray about the book of Mormon for example... I would get an answer from God. At this point, I barely believed that God existed. I knew my Parents believed it, but that only really carries you up to a certain age. So I figured out that if I was to pray about the Book of Mormon, and I didn't get an answer that it was true then I could do my own things on a Sunday... no problems, I'd done everything asked of me. So one night I remember sitting on the end of my bed and reading the Book of Mormon and then closing the Book and kneeling at my bed and saying a prayer. In my prayer I asked God if he even existed, If Jesus Christ was real, If the Book of Mormon was true and if all I had been taught since I was young was true. I remember feeling a warmth come over me. a still feeling of peace and I remember going from not knowing if God was there to KNOWING that he was there and that my prayer had been answered. so much for Football on Sunday's!

How I live my faith

For two years i was a missionary in the England London Mission and so i was encouraging all to do as I have done, that is to read from the Book of Mormon, pray about it and ask God if its true. If they do this, they'll get there answer. I got mine, and I am not any more important than anyone else! Now I look for opportunities to serve people, because when we serve others we are only in the service of our God. This is food for my relationship with Christ, for how can we know the master that we have not served?
