Hi I'm Scott

I'm a Mormon and have been since I was twenty.

About Me

I am an attorney, born and raised in Colorado. I joined the church when I was 20 when I realized that there had to be more to life. After joining the church, I wanted to share what I had found and chose to serve a mission. After serving for two years in Argentina, I returned, got married and had a family. I love cycling, skiing and watching my kids do their best in whatever they are doing.

Why I am a Mormon

At a very critical time in my life, I began to wonder why I am here. What is my purpose? Why is it necessary that I struggle, while moments later I may be exceedingly blessed? Why the ups and downs of life? At that very critical point in my life, a friend of mine invited me to church and to take the missionary discussions. It was like having my eyes opened to something that I knew previously, but had forgotten. I knew what they were teaching me was true. I had never been religious at all, but knew what I needed to do. I cannot imagine my life without the Gospel. I don't wear my religion on my sleeve, but am proud to live my life in the way that I know I am supposed to. It is truly a blessing for me and my family. It is truly the road map to happiness.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving as a scout leader with the 12-13 year old boys (including my son). Scouting is a big part of the lives of the young men who grow up in the Church. I love having the opportunity to work with young people, encouraging them through the difficulties of life. They are my friends. In my profession, I am often the odd one out when it comes to drinks after work or Sunday Concerts in the Park. Truly however, I am proud that others can see in me a person who stands by what he believes, and is genuinely happy.
