Hi I'm Craig

I'm and engineer that has worked around the world on various projects - I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

I'm and engineer by trade but love to work on small projects during my time off. I like to ride motorcycles, in particular touring bikes (I have a Honda Goldwing). I'm a pilot and would someday like to own my own plane. I also enjoy kayaking, hiking, and skiing. When I'm not outside playing I like to watch football. My favorite team is the Texas Lonhorns. Above all these activities - my favorite past time is playing with my 4 grandsons.

Why I am a Mormon

The church has such good principles on which to live our lives I very well might attend even if I weren't a member. However, I have a strong testimony that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I've had the Holy Spirit make this known to me so strongly that I am certain it is the truth. The family is the core organization within the church and everything we do is to strengthen it. My family is where my greatest joy in life comes from and the teachings of Christ help to make us stronger.

How I live my faith

I am a member of the stake presidency which gives me the great opportunity to visit with all of the people in the stake. (A stake is comprised of approximately 10 or so local units of the church) . I also get to participate in the local unit by Home Teaching a half dozen or some of the members. This entails visiting them regularly (monthly) and leaving a gospel message. I try to incorporate the teachings of Christ in my life and look for opportunities to help others. This outlook has helped me to have more empathy for others and the struggles they go through.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Craig
By reading the scriptures it helps know God's will and how we should live our lives. As I consistently read I find that I am more Christlike in my actions. As I spend more time studying my family relationships improve. As I delve deep into the scriptures my interactions with others are better. Show more Show less
