Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a college graduate. I'm a former teacher. I'm a wife, a stay-at-home mom of 2 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After 5 years of teaching elementary school, I am currently a stay-at-home mom trying to juggle the every day tasks of managing my household, chasing around my 2 little ones, trying to be a great wife, and fulfill church calling responsibilites while taking time out for myself. I love to be creative and crafty, sew, shop, read, draw, play the piano, hike, wakeboard, travel, bake, spend time with family and friends, and teach. Balancing everything is not easy, but prioritizing helps. Choosing the "best" over what maybe "good" or "better" is key.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a "Mormon". I am from pioneer heritage. I am decended from some of the first that joined the church when Joseph Smith first reorgainzed it. Despite the vast grand heritage I come from, I developed my own testimony and conviction of why I chose to be a member of this true church upon the earth. When I was younger I relied upon the testimony of my parents of the truthfulness of this church. However, as I grew into my teenage years I wanted to know for myself. I pondered. I prayed. I studied my scriptures wanting to know. Before long, I received a confirmation of the Spirit that this was Christ's true church upon the earth. I knew that God lived and Jesus was the Christ. I knew that the scriptures were true. I developed my testimony then and I have not strayed from it since. This knowledge gives me strength through my daily struggles and frustrations. It gives me clarity ,purpose, and direction of who I am. It brightens the darkests of moments. I am a Latter-day Saint and I am happy that I am!

How I live my faith

I currently work as a leader with the young women/teenagers in my ward. I have the opportunity to teach them gospel principles on Sunday. On Wednesdays,I interact and lead them in service projects and various other activities that develop various skills and attributes in their lives. It is a wonderful opportunity to work with them as I share my testimony with them directly and indirectly. Any help or influence I can offer them for good and come closer to Christ in the smallest of ways, brings such a overwelming joy.
