Hi I'm Kelly!

I'm a wife, a mother, I love to swim, and ski. I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very lucky girl! I grew up in a wonderful home, with fantastic parents, and 3 amazing siblings! I am now married to the best guy there ever was, and have 3 adorable children! My siblings and I were all adopted. I believe this makes our family unique and extra special! I am so grateful to the 16 year old girl who gave me the opportunity to grow up in a family with a mom and a dad! I know she was directed by the Spirit to give me up for adoption. I can't imagine the heart ache she went through by doing this, but I also know I was placed with the family I was meant to be with! I love to be doing anything active! Swimming, skiing, biking, hiking, rock climbing, you name it and I am up for it! But my favorite has always been swimming! I grew up a pool rat! One summer when I was 8, I spent so much time in the pool, my hair turned orange! I love my family, and love spending time with them. They are what keeps me going! I literally run after my young kiddos daily, and let me tell you, they are getting very fast!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I choose to be! My parents were wonderful examples to me. I have always looked up to them and would one day like to be as great as they are! They raised me Mormon, and are fantastic, caring, and loving people. I have had the Spirit confirm to me that the Church of Latter-Day Saints was the true Church may times. Some of those times came from my personal scripture reading, and prayer. Some times came from the Spirit I would feel at my house during family prayer, or discussions I would have with my parents. I also remember feeling the Spirit while attending Especially For Youth, which is a 5 day camp for teenagers where you take different classes on gospel principles. When I left home and went to college I knew that I still wanted to be a strong member because I believed what I had been taught growing up. While attending BYU I continued to feel the Spirit strongly. When I did not have my family close to me, it made me rely more on the Lord to help me. I remember many times sitting in a religion class feeling the love the Savior had for me personally. I had the amazing experience of being able to do a study abroad in Jerusalem. This time of my life was an incredible faith building experience. I was able to spend time where Jesus was and walk where he walked, and learn of his work while He was here on this earth. I had so many spiritual experiences in Jerusalem. I know that our Father in Heaven is looking out for each of us. My favorite part about my religion is that I have the knowledge and understanding that we live beyond this life and that I will be able to live with my family forever. I am sealed to them for time and all eternity!

How I live my faith

I am very involved in my church community. I love to go to church every Sunday. This is a time where I get to put all my other worries aside and feel of the love my Savior has for me. I help serve the women of my church. I have gotten to know so many sisters I probably never would have crossed paths with if it hadn't been for church. They are amazing women and they inspire me to be a better person. I love each of them, and love to see their smiling faces each Sunday. At other times I have been able to serve the children in our church. The children are amazing as well. I understand why we are told to become as little children. They have such a pure and innocent love of our Savior. I have also had the opportunity to serve the young women of our church. I made life long friendships with these teenagers. They are a great example of living high standards. I saw the youth rise above all the immorality that they encounter on a daily basis at school and live the standards that the Lord has set forth. They understand what the Lord wants them to do and they stayed far away from the temptations of the adversary. I will strive everyday to be a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am not perfect, and I have made mistakes. But I believe that I belong to the true church and that our Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us. And I am so thankful that our Heavenly Father sent his son, Jesus Christ, to be our Savior and Redeemer.
