Hi I'm Greg

I'm from Arizona, grew up in Texas, and lived two years in Detroit. También, soy un gringo que habla español. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student here in AZ. I like to do just about anything from playing sports and enjoying the great outdoors to just chilling with the friends or playing the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I am not a convert to the church, but in many ways I took the same path as one. I come from a family where one parent was a Mormon and the other is an Atheist. This upbringing was tough but in the end I feel I am stronger for it. I chose the side of faith. Why? At first, just because it made more sense. I logically reasoned that even if science can prove the universe came from a compact particle explosion aka "The Big Bang". Who created the particle? Science can never explain why the universe was created or who created it. Existence is eternal and only religion can answer the why and who of creation. Pure Science and pure religion should go hand in hand. If they don't, either the science is wrong or the religion is wrong. In this church I have found answers. The doctrine is solid. Now to the spiritual conversion. My testimony grew little by little all growing up, but was confirmed and made undeniable when I spent two years as a missionary in Detroit Michigan. In the worlds view a pretty hopeless city, but there I saw the gospel change lives and bring hope and blessings to others and to myself. During those two years my testimony was solidified over and over again. As people would learn and accept the message of the Restoration blessings would shower them. So many miracles. I know this is for real. If your reading this and your not yet a member please study with the missionaries and pray about what they teach you. I know it will change your life as it has mine.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith always. I read the word daily, pray all the time, go to church on Sundays, and even listen to Christian Rock on the radio. I love the gospel. I wish every day was Sunday. Church is what gives me the recharge for the rest of the week. I am a member missionary at the church and though I don't spend all day out on the streets in a white shirt and tie talking to people like I used to in Detroit, I try to share it every time the opportunity arises, not because its my calling in the church, but because its a part of me and I can't not share it. Thats right I just used a double negative.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Greg
True or False? God loves us the same today as he did the Israelites? God has the same power today as he did in the Old Testament? We need God as much today as they did back then? True, True, and Super True... God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The New Testament says "Beware of false prophets," It doesn't say there will never be anymore prophets. Listen to the prophet today and you'll know too. "By their fruits ye shall know them." Show more Show less
