Hi I'm Mark

I love life. I am husband and a father. Every day I am thankful to be living in Colorado.

About Me

I am the happiest when I am out enjoying the mountains, canyons, rivers, and trials of Colorado with my family. I am employed as an electrical instrumentation technician. I teach classes in electrical instrumentation and programmable logic controllers at a local community college. One of my favorite things to do is to be floating somewhere on a canoe, raft or Kayak. I like to ride bicycles, swim and run. My son and I took up snowboarding 10 years ago and we are hooked. My bucket list includes perfecting my kayak roll, I have the first half down real good and negotiating the terrain park on the snowboard.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 20 years old I wondered why bad things happened to good people. What happens to people who had died. What was the purpose of life. I really wanted to know what my purpose was here. Who I was. Where did I belong? My parents where good people, wonderful members of the Mormon church. They had taught me well. I needed to find the answers for myself. I started reading and studying the book of Mormon everyday and praying about the things I had read. After many months I found the answers to my questions. The most important thing I learned from the Book of Mormon is that Jesus Christ lives and that his gospel is the most wonderful thing on earth. I felt the truth of this book, deep down in my soul I knew it was true. I had the feeling that now that I knew, I had better live my life according to the things I had learned. As I did this my life became full of love and happiness even when things got tough. Now I look back over the many years that have passed since then and my life is so rewarding and blessed with good people, family, friends and with the knowledge of Jesus Christ and his teachings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. I try to be the best I can that day. When I fall short I try again the next day. I am an optimist I truly believe that with the Lords help all things well work out. I have served in the church for many years. My church service took me to Chile where I served for 2 years teaching the wonderful people of Chile the gospel of Jesus Christ. One of my favorite things is to work with the young people in the church I have helped on many camp outs and other adventurous activities. Currently I help in the most adventurous work in the church helping with the temporal and spiritual concerns of many wonderful people I love it.
