Hi I'm Holly Nemmers and I'm a Mormon

I grew up surrounded by love. I took my life traveled in the wrong direction baby step at a time before I returned. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mother of three. My favorite thing to do is to read. I love to sew. I love to hang out with my family. I have two brothers and we are all grown and married but are still close.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are great, my Dad was a cop and my Mom worked in accounting. I was raised in a secure, loving home. I didn't know what I really wanted to do with my life so I just went where life took me. I didn't know who I wanted to be so I was very accepting of others. I let all kinds of people in my life and as I accepted them in my life I became desensitized to the bad habits in theirs. They soon became the bad habits of my own life. My life inched over the line in such small steps that when I finally realized where I had laid my path I could no longer see where I had began. However, I remembered how it felt. I remembered the joy I had once had. It was a long walk back but with the support of my loving parents and an entire ward, I made it. A whole group of people who were willing to love and support me and they wanted nothing from me. Nothing except for me to be successful. I put myself to work learning the gospel, really learning it this time. How could you be surrounded by so much truth and not let the Lord fill your entire being with the comfort of his mercy and love? That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love to teach. I teach in the youth. I try hard to participate in all volunteer activities. I know that I am a child of God. Those simple words are not enough to describe the depth of the joy that I feel knowing that I am loved as an individual entity and that I was chosen personally to be here now. Every step I take I know others are watching. Some to understand, others for inspiration. I have the strength to walk in faith and share the gospel whenever the occasion arises. I do not ever try to preach to anyone but if you ask me why I act the way I do or say the things I say, I will tell you. It is because I know that God lives, that I am here for a purpose. I know that this life has meaning. I know when it is over where I will be going. That passion burns inside of me and is something I will never let go of again. The greatest thing about God is you can start over at any time and he will love you and embrace you as much as any other one of his children. What is better than purpose and meaning? I live by faith and remember who I am at all times. I remember that God is always watching over me. I would never want my example to fall below his grace.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Holly Nemmers and I'm a Mormon
We believe in the Bible because we believe in Jesus Christ. The prophets of old testified of the coming of our Lord. The Bible tells us what happened and the Book of Morman tells us why. To read the Bible from the view point of a Latter-Day Saint leaves little to be confused about. If God is truly the same yesterday, today and forever, if he is bound to his word, then where are the prophets that he promised us? God is not the author of confusion, nor does he change his mind. The Book of Mormon is another testiment to God not a new and improved version of all he has taught his children since the beginning of time. Show more Show less
