Hi I'm Carol

I grew up on a small farm in Idaho. I went on to become an elementary school teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I ama wife, a mother of three and grandmother of 17. I love children. I went back to college when I was 42 and graduated with my degree in Elementary Education at the age of 45. I taught school for 19 years before retiring. I love teaching, and I especially enjoyed having a positive influence on the lives of the children in my classes. I have a real love of reading. One of my favorite subjects was to teach literature to my students. My favorite pastime now that I am retired is to relax and read a wonderful book. My favorite book after all these years is "The Little Princess."

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized as a little 8-year-old girl in Jerome, Idaho. I will always remember that day. As I matured and grew into adulthood, my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ became strong and personal. As I have studied the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ, I have come to love and appreciate Him for His sacrifice in my behalf. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that the Lord has restored His true church to the earth once again. I know that the Father and His Son are acutely aware of each one of us here on earth. They want us to be happy, safe, and return to them. I know this is only possible by keeping the commandments and demonstrating our faith in them.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in my local area as the president of our women's organization. It is such a blessing and privilege to be a member of one of the largest women's organizations in the world. Our purposes are three-fold: 1) To strengthen our faith in the Lord, 2) To strengthen our families, and 3) To provide relief and service to those in need. What a wonderful opportunity to join with thousands of other women, all striving to serve the Lord, our families, and others! In addition, each woman in our organization is assigned other women for which to provide 'loving, watchful care' each month. It is a blessing to those doing the visiting, as well as those visited.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

I have personally found that it is through reading the scriptures that my testimony of the divinity of the Savior has grown. I have come to realize that it is important to 'know' Him, and to know Him we must study His life and His commandments. Show more Show less
