Hi I'm Raylene

I grew up in a family with 5 sisters! I love being with family more than anything else. I am a wife, mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college graduate, teacher, entrepreneur, business owner, lover of all things crafty, daughter, wife and mother to three beautiful children under the age of 3. My husband is in medical school while still working and owning a pest control business. We enjoy every minute we get to spend with him when he's not studying and working. Needless to say....we play doctor doctor a lot around here!

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to be born into a family who were all members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. At an early age, I learned from my parents the importance of making good choices and being obedient to God's laws. Being the second oldest of six daughters, I became known as the peacemaker in the family. I wanted everyone to get along and love each other. I'm a Mormon because I know we are all members of God's family and he wants us to love each other and help one another. The happiest days are when I get to serve/teach my children or serve others in the neighborhood or community. Being raised in the Church, I never doubted the truthfulness of this gospel, but my testimony of Christ and his love for me has grown over the years. When I was in college I remember I had a really tough decision to make about who I was dating. After praying with all my heart, the answer came while reading the Book of Mormon. Even though I didn't like the outcome, I knew what I had to do. Years later, I am so grateful that I listened to the Holy Ghost that late night in college. Heavenly Father has a plan for me and I'm who I am today because I obeyed. I love being a mother and wife to my sweet husband. There is no greater joy than family. The gospel of Jesus Christ is focused on family and getting to live with them FOREVER. His plan is one of Happiness and he wants us to return and live with him someday!

How I live my faith

I love to party and meet new people! I get to work with several other ladies on a committee that plans and organizes monthly events and activities for women of all ages in our church. Some of the topics/events might include: listening to a keynote speaker, learning a new talent, a craft night, health and wellness, book clubs, quilting, or a service or humanitarian project needed in our community. My Sundays are a day of rest (usually spent at home with the family) and worship. However, I love getting to see people of my faith outside of our Sunday church meetings. These activities are a great way to get out of the house, maybe learn something new, and help others through service. I love the unity felt by a church family who not only worships together, but plays together. I love balance in all things!
