Hi I'm Marty Frantz

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a young Grandpa with nearly two dozen awesome grand kids. My wife is my best friend. I've been happily married going on 34 years. We have 7 children that are our best friends. I love lakes, boating and water fun. I spend a lot of my time driving my grand kids around in a Polaris RZR4 side-by-side off road vehicle.

Why I am a Mormon

I decided to marry either a good Catholic or Mormon because I wanted a lot of children and they are the best at raising them. I was engaged to a Catholic and married a Mormon. It was the smartest thing I ever did. She was awesome at child rearing and her Church provided outstanding youth programs. I was pretty good at avoiding joining the Church. But after my 7th set of missionaries, the spirit finally bore witness to me that it was true and I knew I had to join (Oh well!). I didn't tell anyone and I kept it secret for as long as I could. But when the spirit has testified to you about the truth, what other choice does one have? I eventually decided to invite my wife and children to my Baptism but told her she couldn't cry. Since then my testimony has grown by leaps and bounds. I’m really excited about it and have a great desire to share the gospel with anyone who is willing to listen. The reason I’m a Mormon is because its teachings and programs are one of the greatest hopes the world has to end generational abuse and violence against women and girls. I love the Gospel with all my heart and am grateful that I was lead to it through my amazing wife.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving on a couple non-profit boards in my community. I was one of the original founders of a non-profit that builds foot bridges in third world countries - bridgestoprosperity.org. I am politically active and enjoy lobbying our state and federal public servants. I also like working wtih pro-life groups and groups that work at ending violence against women and girls. My favorite work in the Church is serving in the Temple. The Temple is the most sacred place on earth, a place I can set aside all my worldly cares and offer up prayer to our creator. It's pretty awesome!
