Hi I'm Peggy Reeves

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 5 daughters. I have 10 grand kids. I retired from an aerospace company in 2006. I have a BS in Business and I like to read, garden and sew.

Why I am a Mormon

I originally joined the church in 1969, but my testimony was not very strong and I fell away from the church. I recently came back after my father passed away. I began to think about mortality and where I wanted to be for all eternity. I have a very strong testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I do wish that my testimony had not been so long in developing, but it is strong now and with God and my loving Saviors help it will remain so.

How I live my faith

I attend church each Sunday and faithfully read the scriptures, books and magazines written for the church about God and Jesus. I pay my tithing faithfully and always keep my temple recommend current. I try to teach by example.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Peggy Reeves
The Book of Mormon is a second witness of the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a record started and kept up by an ancient group of people who came to the Americas from Jerusalem. The book speaks of their trials and triumphs and what ultimately happened to them. The records were recorded on plates of gold and brass, and were hidden up in a stone box on the hill Cummorah in New York until an angel named Moroni retrieved them and gave them to Joseph Smith to translate and bring forward to the world. Joseph Smith translated the records via translators known as the Urim and the Thummim. These were two clear stones that when moved across the records would translate the symbols into English. Joseph had a scribe who then wrote the words down. Show more Show less
