Hi I'm Brent

I was a convert to the church at age 18. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California as the oldest of four brothers. I was a convert to the church at age 18. I served a mission amidst the wonderful people in Brazil. New York City is one of my favorite places. I am a small business owner and a father. I love my wife and kids. I enjoy watching and playing sports, especially basketball and soccer.

Why I am a Mormon

I was a senior in high school when I was introduced to the Church. I knew nothing about LDS beliefs, but I knew that my friends that were Mormon were different. After attending Church for some time and learning about the Gospel from the missionaries, I decided I needed to know if these things were true. I had read a good portion of the Book of Mormon and remember kneeling in my college dorm room to ask Heavenly Father if what I had read was true. An overwhelming sense of peace came into my heart and the Spirit testified to me. I have since received a testimony that Jesus Christ is my Savior and brother, that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and restored the Gospel to the Earth, and that the priesthood is upon the Earth. I continue to follow the Gospel of Christ because it brings me joy and an eternal perspective to my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently working with the youth of the church. I also work with the other youth leaders as we try to share ideas on how to best guide our youth. The youth participate in Boy Scouts, service projects and Gospel study. I appreciate working with the youth because it was in my youth that I found the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
