Hi I'm Bekah

I am a student in Hawaii, and an intern in Hollywood. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Aloha! I was born and raised in Southern California. I worked my way through community college and was able to gain enough credits to transfer to college in Hawaii. I love the beach, I love to draw, and most of all I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!

Why I am a Mormon

My mother and father both joined the church in their twenties, so I feel very fortunate to have been born into the church. Although I grew up being a member of the church, my parents taught me that attending church, and being a member of the church was always a choice I had to make for myself. I really had to build my own testimony, and learn to ask my Heavenly Father through prayer, if the things I was taught were true. Through the guidance of the Holy Ghost, I now know with all my heart that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. Nothing in this world compares to the peace I feel within my own testimony. I know that I am never, ever alone in this world.

How I live my faith

Growing up playing sports and trying to live a healthy life was something that held a lot of value to me. But as I got older, I felt defeated because I was built nothing like the girls I saw everyday in magazines and on tv. It took a big stab at my confidence, and struggled a great deal of my life with my personal body image. It took some time, and a lot of effort, but eventually I came to understand the worth of every soul. Now I volunteer for a company in Los Angeles that helps teenage girls, and women world-wide who suffer from low self esteem and poor body image. Heavenly Father's children are his greatest creation, and understanding that is on of the ways I live my faith.
