Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 48 year old father of 5 and soon to be grandfather. I have a 24 year old and a two year which keeps life interesting. My wife is the love of my life. There is nothing more important to me than family. I have always worked in scouting and enjoy camping and helping young men find thier Savior. The temple is my refuge in life that draws me closer to heaven. I really love serving and being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. There is so much happiness in being eternal as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member but of course could choose for myself as I got older. Everyone whether born in the church or not has to become converted. You can grow up leaning on your parents and others but at some point you have to ask for yourself if the church is true. I did and I know it is true. At first I just could not see how an uneducated boy could have written the Book of Mormon or anyone for that matter. So as I read, I prayed to know for myself and In my heart the Holy Ghost testified of its truth. Its an undeniable feeling when you know. Its really not at all that complicated to know for yourself. The really great part about knowing and believing is that you can't just keep it to yourself. Why would I not tell my family and friends the true gospel of Jesus Christ is restored? I served a mission in Japan and loved telling others then as much as I do today that Jesus Christ lives and we have a prophet seer and revelator on the earth to help us return to our Heavenly Father as families.

How I live my faith

Each of us are different. We each have different gift, talents, and abilities. One of many wonderful amazing things about the mormon church is being a part of a group of people who all come together to teach eachother and bless eachother with the different talents they have. I have always worked with the youth of the church as a teacher, advisor, or leader. This is my gift given to me that I love to share to help others. I enjoy organizing youth acitvities like youth conferences and treks or scout outings where we can have fun and where we can create an enviraoment where our youth can feel the Holy Ghost and know as I know that God lives and loves each of us. God has a plan which brings happiness in this life as well as for eternity. The world is a hard place and the gosple of Jesus Christ teaches youth, children, and families alike how to be happy throught all lifes can throw at us.
