Hi I'm Pat, and I like to quilt.

I'm a Mormon. I'm married, with 5 grown children, 19 grandkids, and 2 great-grandchildren.

About Me

My dad was a road builder, so we traveled to his jobs. We lived in every state west of the Mississippi River before I was 12. My husband and I have been married for 49 yrs. We love to spend time with our family, and see them often. I am an RN, and have worked in nursing and as a sales rep. Now, I work part-time coordinating research studies for diabetic foot ulcers. I love to quilt, and I belong to a great quilt bee, where I have learned so much.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was in nursing school, my roommate was a Mormon- there were only two LDS girls in the school. I went to church with them, and was taught the gospel by the missionaries. I had grown up going to Christian churches, and loved my Savior. When I read the Book of Mormon, I knew it was true. I was thrilled to know the answers to my questions about where I came from, why I was here and where I am going. To know that the Lord still spoke to His prophets to give us guidance was wonderful. I am a happy person, although I have been through adversity, as we all have. But I know there is always hope, through the atonement of our Savior.

How I live my faith

I used to be very shy, and afraid to speak in front of groups, but since joining the LDS church, I have had so many opportunities that now I am able to feel very comfortable in those situations. These experiences have enabled me to teach medical techniques to various practitioners and volunteer organizations. I have taught the little children how to sing, and taught gospel principles in the youth and adult groups. In the women's organization, I have learned how to run a home efficiently, as well as how to practice the acts of charity so essential to helping others. My husband and I love to serve wherever we are called and to study the scriptures to learn how to be more like Jesus. Because I am a member of the Mormon church, I know that He lives, and loves us all.
