Hi I'm Benjamin

I grew up in Colorado. I have three older brothers. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Anchorage, Alaska to two wonderful parents. I lived there until the fourth grade when we moved to a small town in Colorado. I grew up there for most of my life. I played sports there and loved going hiking. I am an eagle scout and in the scouting program we always went on a 35 mile hike in the canyons of southern Utah. I absolutely love hiking and the outdoors. A little over two years ago we moved to Utah. I completed a mission for the Church in San Antonio Texas. It was the happiest time of my life up to this point.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I "Mormon"? That is a sincere question and so demands in equally candid response. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for a very simple reason, it is true. I was born into the church and so many will believe that I have been indoctrinated into the faith of my fathers. Completely false. I have a hard enough time doing what my father says as it is. I would not follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ if only my father told me to. It would not be enough. In my adolesence I wanted to know if the Book of Mormon was in fact the word of God. I wanted to know if there were really people who lived in the Americas who knew and prophesied of Christ. I read and prayed earnestly to know if that book was in fact the word of God. I was willing to change any part of my life according to what the Lord wanted me to do. I am "Mormon" because I cannot deny nor will ever deny the sure witness I have recieved. To do so would throw a beautiful gift back in the face of God.

How I live my faith

I served a full-time mission in the Texas San Antonio Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I live the gospel best I ever have and right now I am the happiest I have ever been. I see a direct correlation between the Gospel of Jesus Christ and happiness.
