Hi I'm Laurel.

I'm a wife. I'm a mom. I'm a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mother of three. I have a college degree but I am a stay at home mom. When I am not busy feeding/ cleaning/ playing with my kids I enjoy reading, crocheting, sewing, and other household projects.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy. I feel lucky to know that I have a Father in Heaven who has a plan for me. He loves me and wants me to be happy, but sometimes that means I have to go through hard things to become stronger and more understanding. I find strength in my Savior, Jesus Christ, and know that it is through His atonement that I am able to be forgiven when I make mistakes. Sometimes it seems hard to be a Mormon because we are different because we don't drink or smoke, we go to church, and pay 10% of our income to tithing. It is worth it, because it is easy being a Mormon when there are tough times because I know that I can trust in Jesus Christ to help me and bring me peace and happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving at home (with my family) and in the community. I stay home with my three kids. Sometimes I think it is tempting to get a job to earn money and to feel important. It doesn't last long though. All it takes is a sweet moment holding my sleeping baby, seeing the pride and excitement on my toddler's face when he has learned something new, or watching my preschooler help her little brother and sister to know that I love being with them and that they need me. It is priceless and emotionally rewarding. I help our local Boy Scout troop by organizing Court of Honors so the scouts can earn awards and ranks. It is amazing to watch the Boy Scout program teach and transform boys and young men into knowledgeable leaders.
