Hi I'm Bill

I am a husband, father, and grandfather. I am a contractor, waterfowl hunter and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I are experiencing being grandparents for the first time. We love spending time with and spoiling our grand kids as much as we can. I am an avid waterfowl hunter. I love to get up really early in the morning and set up the decoys in the dark and then wait for the morning to begin. I hope to take my grand children hunting as I did my children. That would be great.

Why I am a Mormon

Thirty five years ago I married a beautiful Mormon girl. She was a member of the Church and I was not. I loved her and she loved me so we gave it a go. After twenty eight years and at the age of 50 I made the best decision of my life. I joined the Church. I wish I wouldn't have been so stubborn. I wish I wouldn't have built the walls around me that I did for so long that prevented me from feeling the Spirit testify to me of the truthfulness of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am thankful for a wonderful wife who waited for her chosen one to feel and know what she did. My life and lives of my family have been blessed beyond explanation from this one act. I testify to you that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true Church. I testify to you that the Book of Mormon is true and if you read it and pray about it, you will know what I know.

How I live my faith

One of the wonderful experiences I have had since joining the Church is providing service. Some of this service has come from the callings that I have had. What a great feeling I have gotten to serve the members of our Ward and help them as they need it. It is amazing how you grow to love and care for the people that you attend Church with and then serve. When a few or many members come together to help those in need is a wonderful thing to watch and participate in. As you look into the Church you will discover as I did that the members truly love and care for their fellow man.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Since I have been a member I have worked on a community project for one of our local schools. Our ward and a couple others did a Saturday project to haul and spread rock around the fence line of the school. It was an opportunity for us to provide service to the area that we live. Show more Show less
