Hi I'm Harmonie

I am a mother of 4. I am a fitness instructor. I run my own business renting travel trailers. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4. I am a full time stay at home mom (sort of). I run my own business that I started 10 years ago, renting travel trailers. I have been very active for years with our schools PTA. I have one child who has been diagnosed with Aspergers and another with ADHD. I tried homeschooling for my ADHD and Aspergers children for 6 months. I am a group fitness instructor and teach Zumba and Hip Hop Hustle classes. I LOVE skiing and dancing. I dance with a local adult dance group. I began getting a season pass at a local ski resort when my baby started 1st grade. I sneak up to go skiing by myself 3-4 times a month while the kids are in school. I married a wonderful man 16 years ago, and am still very much in love with him. I am happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a home with 6 kids, my parents have been married for 42 yrs now. My parents were born and raised in the church, and they did the same for all of us. Out of the 6 kids all but one is active and sealed in the temple to our spouses and children. But that is not why I am a mormon now. I am a mormon now because when I was 14 I got a taste of my first conversion, then again when I was 17 then again when I was in my mid 20s and again when I was 32 and again at 34. I have been converted to the church many times. I look back and realize when my testimony has grown was at times in my life that I needed help, and our Heavenly father did not leave me alone, he was there for me. When I was in my 20's my husband was going through his conversion and was wondering why he was a Mormon and wanted to explore other churches. We did explore. But for me it came down to one thing that made the choice easy for me. Did I believe the Book of Mormon was true? Did I believe Joseph Smith's story about how he got the Gold Plates was true? YES, I did. The holy ghost has testified to me that the Book of Mormon contains a history of people who lived on this continent many years ago. I believe what those people have to say, I believe it works in perfect harmony with the Bible. I also can not deny that Joseph Smith was visited by Heavenly Father and Jesus. I believe that really happened, I believe that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ came down to bring their people truth and more light. I am still learning and being converted with other things about the church but I can not deny those simple truths. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I attend our local ward on Sundays, and bring my children to their Young Men and Young Women activities. I currently am a primary teacher to the 10 and 11 year old kids. I am also a Visiting Teacher. This summer I was on the Girls Camp committee. I was in charge of all the food. I LOVED it. I only have 1 daughter and really enjoyed being with all the girls. I thought it was like a 4 night sleepover! I admit to having maybe more fun then the girls had. I love the singing, the games and what the senior missionary's called "processing". Processing is where you think about how the things you do and experience are related to Heavenly Father and Jesus. I was also Recently released as a Bear Cub Scout leader. I taught 9 year old boys and helped them earn their Bear Badges. And we attended monthly Pack meetings and summer camps. I feel like I am part of a ward family. Sometimes we don't get along with everyone all of the time, I suppose that is why it is our family. I know that I am welcome there and it is another place where Heavenly Father wants me to learn how to be a better person.
