Hi I'm Shane Renslow

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Northern California. When I was a teenager I spent a lot of time working on cars. I found myself understanding mechanics and was able to take an entire vehicle apart and understood how to rebuilt it. I spent time working for a autobody shop and painted a few vehicles before I was 19 and restored three different cars (ie 66 Mustang, 86 Mustang, and a Volkwagon bug.) When I was 19 I served a mission in Guatemala (mostly in the Northern parts of the country.) I returned home and continued my love for working and rebuilding cars. To this day I work on any part of a vehicle (motors, etc.) I have three old trucks I have rebuilt and are restored (with improvements.) All of these projects are a use of my talents and I enjoy working on them with my children as well. I'm an Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America. I also am a Tough Mudder, completing two Tough Mudder Challenge at Beaver Creek, Co in 2011 and 2012. The greastest blessing is my family. I have been married to my best friend for over 17 years now. We have four beautiful children that I'm very proud of. We have lived in Northern California, Northern Colorado, and Washington State.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because in my mind and in my heart this church is true! I feel the values I've learned since I was very young have molded me into who I am today and what really matters in this life, "Family!" My father is a convert to the church and joined when I was young. He is the hardest working man that I know and has taught me to love God and follow him. He grew up in a very rough family where abuse was often. His wonderful mother removed him and his siblings from that enviroment and allowed his family a good chance. I'm grateful for this because it has taught our entire family about the importance of family and love within. I'm a Mormon because it's true! I believe in God and his son Jesus Christ and his role as Savior and Redeemer of the World. I'm a Christian because it's who I am. This all invites happiness and peace in my life with my wonderful family. I love God and am thankful for the challenges faced daily and who these challenges have helped me become....A better father, husband, and man!!!!

How I live my faith

I'm active in the community, helping with various community parades and activities during the year. I have served in various organizations in the church. I'm registered as a Boy Scout Leader in this area. I have served in the various youth organizations and have taught early morning seminary. All of these callings have molded me into a better person.
