Hi I'm Nathan

I'm a computer geek. I like sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a degree in Computer Science. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, ultimate frisbee, or just about any other sport. I also enjoy reading, and read many books from different genres. I have a wide range of interests and I like learning new things in may different fields. I am single, but I love spending time with my family and playing with my nieces and nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church, as my family's involvement in the Church goes back to its beginnings on both sides. I was baptized when I was eight, and through the teaching and guidance of my parents, I gained a knowledge for myself of the truthfulness of the Church and its doctrines. I have grown to love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I believe this is His Church, where I can find the fullness of the gospel and all of the blessings available from our loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

Since our Church does not have a professional clergy, the members are called to fulfill the various roles needed for the Church to function. I have always accepted these callings and tried to fill them as best as I could. I am currently serving as a clerk, helping with some of the administrative details, so that the leaders of our congregation can focus on other things. In the past, I have had opportunities to teach, work with the youth, and other things. Each of these things has not only helped me to live my faith, but provided opportunities for me to grow. Although it goes against my nature to seek out strangers to talk to, I was happy to serve a mission in the area of Fresno, California. For two years, my time was devoted to sharing the message of the restored gospel to any who would listen. While I am no longer a full-time missionary, I make no secret that I am a Mormon, and am quite willing to share my beliefs with any who ask.
