Hi I'm Jenny

I grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I love sports, music and fashion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from college with a degree in public relations. I met my husband in college and we were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. A true passion of mine is service. I have always loved it. I'm the happiest and most at peace when I'm helping others.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 16 years old my world was rocked! My mother died in a car accident and I didn't have anyone to turn to. I felt so alone and afraid. I was angry. I was mostly angry at God. I was upset and confused as to why he had taken her from me at such a critical time in my life. At this point, I had a decision to make. I could continue to be mad at God and quit going to church or I could pray and talk to him about it. Needless to say I chose the latter. Without the gospel in my life I wouldn't have the knowledge that I would see my mother again one day. I wouldn't have had the opportunity on earth to be sealed to her and my family for time and all eternity. This knowledge has helped me tremendously with the grief and loss I have felt inside. I know that Heavenly Father NEVER forsakes his children. He is always there for us even in the hardest of times. We just need to talk to him and learn to rely on him. I know that families are essential in this life and we are put in them for a purpose. I love the gospel and my Savior. I'm so grateful that he prepared a way for us to return to live with Heavenly Father and our families forever.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by example. Each day I try to be the best person I can be. I try to make Heavenly Father proud to call me his daughter. I try to "do unto others as I would like to be treated." I actively seek opportunities to serve Him. I make a valiant effort to attend the temple regularly. The temple is such a special place. It is truly a slice of heaven on earth and I feel ungrateful if I don't take advantage of it as much as possible. Each Sunday, I have the opportunity to teach little kids about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Every week I'm amazed by how brilliant they are. They are so young and they already know so much about not only the gospel, but life. They are such a blessing and inspiration to me.
